Hello friends and family! Malaysia is our 15th country so far so read along and find out what we do here!!
So far in Malaysia we have gone to Kuala Lumpur, Taman Negara National park, and right now we are in the Cameron Highlands.
In Kuala Lumpur we met up with our friend Kristina again!! The first day we went to the Batu caves. The Batu caves are Hindu temples built inside caves on top of the rainbow stairs. This is us going to the entrance to the cave.

The inside of the caves was really pretty and had a clearing with a lot of monkeys in it. Mom and dad did not get any photos of the monkeys so I can not show them to you. After the first cave we went to get a snack! Our snack was a very yummy bread called roti canai. Roti canai is a traditional snack in Malaysia. I sprinkled sugar on mine and it tased even more delicious.

The second cave told a story of Ramayana who must save his kidnapped wife, Sita. Along the way it teaches Hindu life lessons. We walked up a few flights of stairs to a yoga room that we played in. It had really cool lights and lasers. It was probably my favorite part of the tour other than being with Kristina of course.

When we got back to our hotel we did arts and crafts using popsicle sticks and glue. While we were waiting for the crafts to dry Kristina took us to the pool! We only got to swim for 5 minutes though. The reason we only got to swim for 5 minutes is because there was a lightning and thunder storm. Mom and dad were stuck under a street stand getting dinner and a man sold them an umbrella so they could get back to the hotel.
The next day we said good bye to Kuala Lumpur and Kristina and drove 3 hours to Taman Negara national park. We got there just after lunch so we decided to go on a boat ride up a river. Part of the river was white water and it was SO fun.

We stopped at a fish feeding spot and fed them cat food. You are probably wondering what kind of fish we fed so I will tell you. The fish that we fed were Kelah fish.

After we fed the fish we boated to the trail head of a trail leading to a nice swimming spot. We hiked for about 20 minutes. The swimming spot was really nice even though the water was very cold. Baker and I floated down the calm rapids and it was very fun.

The next day we did a scavenger hunt on a hike leading to a canopy walk way. On the scavenger hunt we had to take a selfie with a ranger, spot a yellow butterfly, find certain trees, and do much more to earn a delicious ice cream at the end. This is our selfie.

It was so much fun! The canopy walk was like walking on a very thin suspension bridge.

The canopy walk only lasted for 10 minutes. Then we hiked back and ate that well deserved ice cream.

For our last activity in Taman Negara, we went on a splashy boat ride. We were in a thin 4 person river boat but Lu is so small she didn't count as a person.

We went up 4 or 5 rapids and then turned around and went down them. The boat almost sunk because it got so full of water on a big rapid that splashed us. It was SO FUN!

I like Malaysia although I don't think I could live here because it is too hot. We came to the Cameron Highlands today and it is much cooler. It is like Seattle in the summertime.
I am excited for my birthday because it is in less than 2 weeks PLUS I get to see Penny and Kalina ON MY BIRTHDAY AND FOR THE WHOLE WEEK AFTER THAT!!!

Such wild outdoor adventures! I agree w Q that you will be such a worldly hiker in July. Is that purple tank and skirt the one made just for you? So special 💛 miss you all XOXO
Ps: Lourdy loves her elephant so much! (I do too!). It is so special 💞
GInny, you are growing so fast! You will be taller than me when you get home. And a faster swimmer and hiker for sure. Thank you for teaching us so much about the world, and cleaning up the plastic! Love, Q, Paul and Gus
